USC STEVENS CENTER FOR INNOVATION, product RESEARCH intern

2014 - 2016 ( 2 years )

USC Stevens Center for Innovation commercializes university research into products through patent and licensing opportunities.

This was my first experience with product work and learned what it meant to 'productized’ USC owned inventions and Research & Development projects. I spent two years learning to gauged market interest, originality, and how to develop monetization strategies, while working cross functionally with licensing and patenting teams to drive product launches.

Product research is background research for all new product ideas and inventions. The research process includes checking whether similar products already exist (originality) and estimating the selling potential (gauge market interest).
